Provides skill enhancing and performance opportunities for area wind and orchestral string instrumentalists and presents quality musical listening experiences to the community. 

Organization

Effingham Community Orchestra, Inc. is a non-profit, 501(c)3 tax-exempt, tax deductible organization managed by a board of directors.  Effingham Community Orchestra’s Board of Directors meets regularly guiding the orchestra toward the fulfillment of its mission statement.  We provide opportunity for community musicians to engage in rehearsal and educational activity which nurtures the further development of their skills.   We perform concerts for the public, thereby increasing awareness and appreciation of the performing art of music.  Effingham Community Orchestra is a collaborative effort for the  good of local musicians and the community at large.   It relies heavily on volunteers.   Monetarily it functions solely on contributions from participants and interested supporters.
